Do I need a powerful computer to run RheoCast?
Any Mac on macOS 12+ or Windows 10/11 PC with 8 GB of RAM will run presentation and scripture detection. Live streaming encodes video in hardware, so for Broadcast we recommend 16 GB and, on Mac, macOS 13.3 or later. Live transcription is processed in the cloud and needs an internet connection on every platform — see Setup & Installation in our docs.
Are there limits on AI generation in the Pro plan?
The Pro plan includes 100 AI credits a month, shared across your devices, and Ministry includes 200. A weekly summary, sermon notes and a devotional series costs a handful of credits, so most churches stay well inside the allowance. Check what you have left any time in Settings › Account.
What happens to my minutes if I change plan?
You can move up a plan at any time from Settings › Account in the app, or from this page. Any transcription minutes you have not used carry over to the new plan, so upgrading mid-month does not cost you what you already paid for. Each period is billed as its own payment rather than a recurring subscription, so there is nothing to cancel — simply do not renew.
Do I still need OBS or vMix?
No. RheoCast’s Broadcast console — cameras, scenes, transitions, audio mixing, recording and streaming to YouTube, Facebook or custom RTMP — is included free on every plan, so most churches replace their switcher outright. If you are migrating from one, Pro and Ministry add NDI and browser-source output so you can run both until the changeover is done.
