RheoCast

Welcome to RheoCast

Official documentation for RheoCast — church presentation and live production in one app.

RheoCast is built for churches that want scripture on screen as it is spoken — without scrambling through Bibles, slides, or search boxes during a live service.

It also runs the rest of your service. Cameras, scenes, song lyrics, overlays, recording and the live stream itself are all in the same app, so one person at the back of the room can handle the whole thing.

The three tabs

The app is organised around three tabs at the top of the window.

TabWhat it is for
PresentEverything that goes on the screen the congregation sees — scripture, song lyrics, sermon notes. This is where transcription and verse detection run.
BroadcastYour live production console: cameras, scenes, overlays, audio mixing, recording, and streaming out to YouTube or Facebook. Free on every plan.
StudioPost-service video editing. Not yet released.

Present is split into sub-tabs: Live (transcription and verse display), Songs, Notes, and Creator Studio.

Two different "live" controls. In Present › Live, Start begins transcription — it listens to the sermon. The Go Live toggle on the Display Preview sends scripture to your projector or second screen. Neither of those starts a stream. Streaming is Go Live in the Broadcast tab, which is a separate control.

Do I still need OBS?

No. The Broadcast tab does everything a church typically uses OBS or vMix for — multiple cameras, scenes you can cut between, lower thirds, recording, and streaming to a platform — so most churches move across and retire the second application entirely.

If you are migrating, you do not have to do it in one Sunday. NDI and browser source output let RheoCast feed your existing switcher while you change over, so you can run both until your team is comfortable. See Display & Output.

How a typical service works

  1. Before service — Select your microphone, choose a Bible translation, and open the display on your projector or second screen. If you are broadcasting, add your cameras and build your scenes.
  2. During service — In Present › Live, click Start to begin transcription, and turn Go Live ON to project detected verses. In Broadcast, cut between scenes and go live to your platforms.
  3. Present verses — High-confidence detections can auto-display, or you can click a detection or search result to send it to the output.
  4. After service — Open Creator Studio, pick the session, and generate follow-up content for your congregation.
